WHAT IS CROSSFIT?

CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program designed to develop and optimize physical competence in wide variety of fitness domains: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance, Strength, Flexibility and Mobility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.

Our Programming

We create training programs requiring our members to perform multiple, diverse, and randomized physical challenges under many different intense conditions.

The program is unique in that it doesn’t specialize in any specific area, but rather specializes in developing fitness for the unexpected. We want to train you to be able to meet and conquer any challenge you might face in your daily life. Whether you want to be competitive in a given sport, or want to be able to endure the many challenges of living, working, and playing in Alaska.

We also incorporate Olympic Weightlifting into our programming. Olympic movements are unparalleled in their ability to develop an individuals explosive power, muscular coordination and adaptations in neuromuscular pathways. All of these attributes have a profound effect on your overall fitness and ability to perform a diverse set of movements.

Universal Scaleability for All Fitness Levels

The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it a viable training program for anyone, regardless of their experience, fitness level, or training goals. We use the same routines for beginners and special populations as we do with competitive athletes.

We can scale across all aspects of the program to meet the needs of the individual. This allows individuals to progress at their own pace regardless of their limitations and goals.

Motivation and Competition

Many of our workouts focus on performing whole-body exercises in a competitive environment. Our training programs regularly include elements of variation that is trackable and allows you to see how your performance compares to others as well as your previous personal bests.

Competition brings out the best in us. Its just human nature to want to win and improve upon our efforts. Our daily WOD’s will help fuel your natural competitive spirit, which in turn will drive faster gains and better results.
